WHY CHILDREN

POVERTY

Thousands of children under the age of five die every day because they lack proper nutrition, safe drinking water, affordable vaccines and other basic necessities that most people in the U.S. take for granted.

EDUCATION

Many impoverished schools suffer from an inordinate lack of even the most basic resources and facilities. Most schools have insufficient classrooms, sanitary facilities, desks, chairs, and textbooks. Each classroom has a poor quality blackboard and some chalk but that is the extent of their teaching resources.

MUSIC

We value music as a critical learning tool that keeps students engaged in school, helps develop well-rounded individuals and encourages skills that are vital for success in the 21st century.
